I was born in Quito, Ecuador, where I earned my bachelor's degree in biology. My fascination with nature began in childhood, and during my early studies, I developed a deep passion for insects. This interest led me to explore biological control across various contexts. For my master’s program at Ghent University in Belgium, I specialized in nematodes, particularly those used as biological control agents. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in entomology at the University of Minnesota, focused on a biological control project that supports Ecuador’s biodiversity conservation.
