Rania Abu Taima is a Ph.D. student in Feminist Studies at the University of Minnesota. She holds an M.A. in Arab Studies from Georgetown University, where her research examined the intersections of displacement, media, culture, and the social transformations shaping the Middle East. She earned her B.A. in English Language–Translation from Al-Azhar University in Gaza, where her work in translation and journalistic writing expanded into a broader engagement with media and storytelling.
Drawing on this interdisciplinary background, her doctoral research explores Palestinian women’s experiences through media, journalism, and filmmaking, with a particular focus on women as producers of knowledge, cultural expression, and their own narratives.
