Growing up in Taiwan, Panchen Lo is a Ph.D. student in Sociocultural Anthropology interested in gender and sexuality, queer and trans studies, transnational feminism, activism, critical theory, and knowledge production. Her doctoral study aims to rethink the material and technical process of transition by exploring alternative temporalities and mobility of transitioning in transgender cultures and communities. With an ethnography of cross-dressing practice and spaces in Northern Taiwan urban areas, she received her master’s in Anthropology and a B.A. in History from National Taiwan University.
