Mukta Naik is an India-based architect and urban planner with research interests in urban informality, housing, migration and climate adaptation. She is a policy researcher currently serving as Fellow at the Sustainable Futures Collaborative with previous stints at the Centre for Policy Research and the National Institute of Urban Affairs. Naik has been visiting faculty at SPA Delhi, TISS Hyderabad and Ambedkar University Delhi. She holds a PhD in Urban Development and Governance from the Institute of Housing and Urban Development Studies at Erasmus University Rotterdam. During her stint at ICGC as an Urban Studies Foundation International Fellow, Naik is working on a manuscript on how youth experience and engage with the city in an age of continuing crises.
Mukta is in residence with ICGC during the 2026-27 academic year.
