After growing up all over the United States, Morgan Brokob received concurrent B.A.s in Arabic and International Studies from the University of Oklahoma and an M.A. in International Studies from the University of Denver, where her final project examined the challenges of transnational feminist activism in Tunisia. In Sociology at UMN, she hopes to apply her interest in transnational feminist and queer theories to the study of political power and dissent, and the ways in which communities advocate for social change in contested spaces.
