I was born and raised in Fujian, China (I speak both Mandarin and Hokkin as my mother tongue). I earned my bachelor's degree in Ecology from East China Normal University in Shanghai, China; and my Master's degree in Environmental Biology in Utrecht University in the Netherlands. I am broadly interested in using integrative methods to understand how biodiversity affects ecosystem functioning and stability under global change drivers. My previous research explored how grazing affects ecosystem stoichiometry and richness-productivity relationships; how nutrient enrichment affects grassland biodiversity and productivity, as well as the ecosystem dynamic after cessation of nutrient enrichment.
