Leah Costik

Originally from Northern Appalachian Pennsylvania, Leah Costik is a seventh year PhD candidate in the Department of Political Science with a graduate minor in Global Public Health from the School of Public Health. Her research centers around armed non-state actors, public health, and organizational dynamics. Leah previously worked as an American Political Science Association Public Scholarship Fellow. She has received training on conducting research in conflict zones, as well as language training supported by the United States Department of State. 

Leah was an Interdisciplinary Doctoral Fellow in ICGC during the 2023-24 academic year. She is the ICGC RA for the 2025 Fall semester.
