Hesham Sadek

Hesham Sadek is a water quality and development engineer with a background in mechanical power engineering and a strong passion for sustainable development, climate adaptation, and innovative water solutions. A graduate of Ain Shams University, Hesham has combined technical expertise with development work across Egypt and Africa, particularly through his leadership roles at NGOs and Consulting firms.

His career spans work in water treatment, solar-powered irrigation, wastewater reuse, and environmental policy. Hesham has contributed to international projects funded by USAID, GIZ, and the Dutch government, and has collaborated with institutions such as AUC, IHE Delft, and Temple University. He brings a unique blend of technical know-how, project management, and field implementation experience, complemented by a deep interest in climate resilience, the water-energy-food nexus, and inclusive development practices.

Driven by innovation and impact, Hesham has received awards for sustainable startups and has led randomized control trials (RCTs) on water interventions in partnership with global research institutions. His work reflects a commitment to combining engineering, research, and policy to solve real-world challenges and improve access to clean water for communities in need.
